Account Setup

Account & Subscription

Before updating servers, make sure you’re signed in to the right account and have an active subscription.

Do I need an email address to get started? How should I protect my account details?

No email address is required. Create an account with a username and password. After opening the user panel, make sure you’re signed in to the account you plan to use, then check your plan and find the client download. Use a unique password and store your username and password in a trusted password manager. Avoid staying signed in on shared devices. Not needing an email address doesn’t mean you can discard your account details. If you can’t sign in, contact support through an option available in the panel. Never post your password, subscription link, or sensitive details from an order screenshot in a public forum.

Where can I find my subscription link, and how do I refresh the server list?

Sign in to the user panel and make sure your account has an active subscription. Then get the link or use the import option provided there. On devices where you’ve already imported a subscription, update the existing one in the client’s subscription or configuration manager rather than repeatedly creating configurations with the same name. After updating, check that it completed and the server list appears, then choose a server to connect. If the client reports a retrieval error, check your account status, network connection, and that the link is complete. Don’t paste your subscription link on a public website or submit it to an untrusted conversion service.

Do I need to choose a new plan when I change devices? Which platforms are supported?

VPN76 allows unlimited simultaneous devices and supports Windows / macOS / iOS / Android / Linux. You don’t need to choose a new plan just because you’re switching devices. Sign in to the same account on the new device, get the client for that platform, and import your active subscription. Unlimited devices refers to the number of devices you can use; it doesn’t mean each device has a separate data allowance. Check your account’s data balance while using the service. When you stop using an old device, sign out and remove the subscription stored on it. In particular, don’t hand over a device that still contains your personal configuration.

What’s the difference between a client and a subscription, and why can’t I connect after installing the app?

The client establishes a connection on your device. The subscription provides the servers and configuration available to your account; you need both. After installation, check that you’ve imported your subscription, selected a valid configuration, granted the network permissions requested by your system, and have data available in your account. Find the client in the user panel, and get your subscription from your own account. Installing the app doesn’t mean you’re connected. First, open a regular webpage to confirm your internet connection works. Then connect to a server and try the service you want to access to identify where the issue occurs.

Troubleshooting

Connections & Troubleshooting

Check your internet connection first, then review your configuration, permissions, and routing rules. Change one setting at a time.

The client says it’s connected, but webpages won’t load. What should I check?

Disconnect the client first and check whether regular webpages load over your internet connection. If they don’t, troubleshoot your current network rather than switching servers repeatedly. If your connection works, reconnect and check the active configuration, selected server, and system network permissions. Then try a different website to see how widespread the issue is. If nothing loads, try another server. If only one website fails, check your routing rules, the site’s regional requirements, and your local cache. Change one setting at a time and note what happens so you can undo changes or include them in a support ticket.

Why does my browser work, but a particular app won’t use the proxy?

Browsers and other apps may use different network paths. Some apps don’t follow the system proxy, and client rules may send a particular domain or app through a direct connection. Check the client’s current mode and routing rules to see whether the app’s traffic is using the proxy. If the client offers system-wide routing or tunnel features, check its instructions for permissions and compatibility. After changing modes, fully close and reopen the app so it doesn’t keep using an existing connection. If it still won’t connect, note the app name, operating system, client mode, and exact error message, then include them in a support ticket.

My Android device disconnects when the screen locks, or I have to reconnect when I return to the app. What can I do?

Check whether your system restricts the client’s background activity, background data, or battery use. Settings names vary by device, so follow your device’s instructions to allow the client the background activity it needs, and make sure it has VPN permission. Lock the screen, then resume using the device and see whether the system has stopped the connection. If this only happens when switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data, the network path may have changed; reconnect after the switch is complete. Avoid running multiple tools that take control of system networking at the same time, as their permissions or routing may conflict.

A subscription update fails or import shows an error. What details should I provide for troubleshooting?

Make sure you copied the complete subscription link from the panel, not the page address in your browser’s address bar. Check that the import method you’re using is supported by your client. Before updating an existing configuration, note the current server names so you can tell what changed if anything is removed. In your support ticket, include your device platform, client name, the steps you took, the full error message, and whether your internet connection works normally. Redact subscription links, passwords, and sensitive payment details from screenshots. If support needs to investigate further, provide any necessary information through the support process in the panel.

Performance

Speed & Routes

Choose a route based on the destination region and real-world performance, not its name as a promise of speed.

How can I tell whether peak-hour slowdowns are caused by the server or my local network?

Pause large downloads, cloud sync, and other network-intensive tasks on your device. Then compare how regular webpages load with how the service you’re trying to reach performs. If your entire connection is noticeably slow, check your Wi-Fi signal or try another network. If only proxy traffic is slow, try another server and compare using the same app and content. Peak-hour performance depends on your local network, international routes, and the destination platform. A server name doesn’t tell you how it will perform in practice. Note when the issue occurred, which server you used, the destination service, and what you observed to help support narrow down the cause.

How should I choose between IEPL, relay, and direct routes?

These terms describe how a connection is routed; they don’t rank performance for every use case. Check the server details in the panel, then compare routes based on the destination service and your local network. For streaming or long sessions, focus on uninterrupted playback and whether you’re frequently disconnected, rather than just the initial connection response. If there’s a problem, compare different route types with the same destination and keep the one that works best on your network. There’s no need to keep switching just because a route name sounds more complex, and no route type guarantees a particular speed.

Netflix or Disney+ says the content isn’t available in my region. Will switching servers fix it?

Not necessarily. Streaming access can depend on platform policies, account region, content licensing, app cache, and your selected exit location. Check whether the content is available for your account and region, choose a server in the relevant region, then restart the app or refresh your session to test again. If only one title is unavailable while others work, check the platform’s catalog and licensing rather than assuming the entire connection has failed. VPN76’s server coverage doesn’t guarantee ongoing access to every platform or title. Results depend on the platform’s behavior at the time.

Why choose a server based on the destination region rather than distance, even with broad coverage?

VPN76 covers 120+ countries / 160+ servers, but the number of servers doesn’t tell you which one will work best for a particular app. A service may require your account and exit locations to match, and a shorter geographic distance doesn’t necessarily mean a smoother network route. First identify the region required by the service, then compare available servers in that region. For everyday browsing, start with a server that connects reliably on your current network. If a service requires a consistent region, stick with a stable choice and check its account rules before switching.

Order Check

Billing & Refunds

Check your billing method, data allowance, and order status before handling an upgrade, payment, or refund.

How much does a monthly plan cost, when does data reset, and what happens if I upgrade mid-cycle?

Monthly plans: ¥9.9/month for 60GB · ¥18/month for 250GB · ¥28/month for 500GB. Data resets monthly on your activation date. If you upgrade mid-cycle, the price difference is prorated for the remaining days. Choose a plan based on your streaming, downloading, and everyday browsing needs; monthly plans don’t include unlimited data. Before upgrading, check your current plan, remaining data, and order details in the user panel, then review the result shown there. If you have questions about the price difference or when the change takes effect, submit a support ticket. Don’t try to fix your account by repeatedly placing new orders.

What data plans are available, and how do they differ from monthly subscriptions?

Data plans: ¥158/300GB · ¥358/1000GB · ¥658/3000GB. Data lasts until it’s used up and never expires. Unlike monthly subscriptions, which reset data monthly on your activation date, data plans have no monthly reset. Compare them based on how often you use the service before choosing a billing option. Before ordering, check in the panel whether you’re selecting a monthly subscription or a data plan, and confirm the data allowance. If you already have a plan, don’t assume different products will automatically stack, combine, or replace each other. Check the panel’s instructions before switching, and confirm through a support ticket if needed.

Which payment methods are supported, and what should I do if my account doesn’t update after payment?

Supported payment methods: Alipay / WeChat Pay / USDT. Before paying, check your plan, amount, and selected payment method in the user panel, then follow the steps on the order page. After payment, return to the panel to check your order and subscription status. If the payment result doesn’t match what your account shows, keep your order details and proof of payment, then explain the issue in a support ticket. Don’t pay again just because the page hasn’t updated yet, and don’t send funds to unfamiliar payment details shared temporarily in a chat. When submitting proof, include only what’s needed to verify the payment and redact unrelated personal information.

How long is the refund period, and how do I request a refund?

VPN76 offers a 14-day no-questions-asked refund. To request one, sign in to the user panel, open the support ticket section, explain that you’re requesting a refund, and provide order details for verification. Check the Refund Policy and Terms of Service for eligibility. If you’re also having connection issues, you can include your device platform, the server you used, and the error message. You don’t need to disclose account details publicly to request a refund. Check your ticket for replies and provide any additional information needed for verification. Don’t assume how long processing or payment will take; follow the confirmation in your ticket and the actual result from your payment provider.
